Maybe This Time

The glassy sea reaches the horizons
As darkness closes in all around.
We sit there staring silently
Not making a single sound.
I feel your hand take mine
Making me feel secure and strong.
I caress every passing moment,
For I know it might not last long.
You turn my head,
And touch my face.
I melt in your arms,
And your gentle embrace.
I want to show you
Exactly how I feel,
But I'm afraid to look too deep
And find our love isn't real.
Maybe this time will be different,
Our promises never did last forever.
But I'm willing to try again,
Maybe this time we can stay together.
