Forever Yours

It took some time for us to realize
That our feelings could not be denied.
And it's really amazing at how many times
It was to myself I lied.
Against all odds we decided to try
And give each other a chance.
And now we've got the beautiful gift
Of friendship entwined with romance.
When I'm with you, I get this feeling
A feeling that seems so rare.
And every time you look deep into my eyes,
I know you really care.
What we've found in such a short while
Is something we shouldn't let go.
If we keep on holding as long as we can
All it can do is grow.
And no matter how many times they come between us
And try to shut the doors,
I promise you now, no matter what happens,
I'll always be forever yours.
